It was our darling son in law's 40th ....how did that happen? When the parents, especially his mama, don't feel much a day over 45! (well, most days!)
I don't post family things too often so I am sorry to those of you who aren't family just skip these few posts if they bore.
Sunday brunch the day before the big day.

It was very hot but, the garden is thriving.
Table setting was my job....no help from Pusspuss.
Cooking began early as the birthday boy loves potatoes Dauphinoise.

Next the rest of the evening....this first part was finished by 9:30....on to hear Big Al in his jazz quartet
at the Supper Club returning to dance till the wee hours at 28/10!
