Contemporary Take of a Classic in Phuket

Reading this morning the Devoted Classicist's essay on La Fiorentina I had to smile when I saw the beautiful courtyard and its pattern on the floor. Here are pictures of my finished contemporary take of  a bit of the same...I do however prefer La Fiorentina...the pinky coral colour with the grey chevron is perfect....it may also have a lot to do with the architecture too! A Phuket Sunday.... to be a kid again!

It was a very hot afternoon, the village children begged for a swim...
ah, to be a kid again, once more through the door...

A Handsome Boy- Lost and Found

How last week went ...

#1. Helpful villagers returned this Husky to us thinking it was ours .....
      We fell in love,
it took a week but, earnest adverts returned him to his home.

The Oasis Phuket - Photo Shoot

It is amazing how much time it takes to 'sort of' style a photo shoot! Sunday morning was spent trying to get some pictures for a resale at The Oasis.

Darling Daughter #3 was roused early from her bed and we tried to get some shots showing the changes made to the house...all a bit of a challenge. We definitely need some more props and the dining room chairs! It is looking like a bit like a bland real estate advert at the moment.

Work in Progress

Wondering what a huge slab of mirror will do on the wall behind the desk.....?

Changing Styles - Same Same but Different

It is very interesting to let go and see what some one else does with  a space you have designed. If it is generally well designed it should hold another's ideas and preferences, I think Plot 2 at The Oasis is an interesting example of two family's tastes. Check these casual before and after shots.
