Hanging On in London

A week left before Thai Air 'hopefully' wings me back to Phuket. Things sound a little out of kilter with the Britons stuck at the airport in Bangkok nearly rioting yesterday. This combined with the protests in the city, gives one pause for thought........is it just organized chaos created by east meeting west?

Some clever 'organized chaos' found via notcot.org
Young and upcoming British designer Jade Barnes-Richardson designed this fun, useful piece last year and it is in production now, available for sale from normann copenhagen this June.
Perfect for the ever changing weather of the UK in your front hall but, how cool in a bathroom for towels or as useful installation piece in your office/guestroom? Available in a great range of colours. Hang on!

Blossoms Busting Out in London

I think the warm may be here to stay!
I still cannot figure how to delete and adjust with blogger's new set up.....
hence this weird little mixture of pics......
however they do generally reflect the spring has sprung feel!

Dream Spot - London

Popped just behind Harrods in Knightsbridge....this is where I'd love to be right NOW!

London Treats

This was the treat last Friday! A concert by Deedee Bridgewater and her daughter China Moses.
Incredibly they caught a bus and spent 14 hours getting to London from Germany due to the volcanic ash! Londoners were then able to catch to two extra performances at Ronnie Scotts as the next booked in act in was caught out of the country and Deedee was stuck in town.

Now this is a Fab over Fifty woman.....heading to her 60th birthday she looks and sounds as wonderful as ever. (Geri you must go see her when she hits NY.) A Tony and Grammy award winner Deedee has just moved back to the US after 20 years in Paris. Her gorgeous darling daughter certainly caught the entertainment talent genes from her Mom and was the icing on the cake.

Some 'Close to Finished' Product Shots

Some Colour in the Calm White

This little fashion of late worked very well with darling daughter #1's bookcases although cookbook, next to Tin Tin , next to Theatre Directing skills, seems just a little odd!

Phuket to London

That was the easy part...now for the return...a true challenge!
.... the airspace is now open again but when will things be back to normal?

I was planning to catch up on my blogging back in Phuket on my beloved mac, organize pictures, write brilliant posts etc.....my little baby Dell just doesn't have enough energy to accomplish all the bits it takes to have a fairly decent post(especially with my limited computer skills).......however it doesn't look like my mac and me will be united any time too so...

People here in London were and still are finding it hard to believe there is a problem in the skies. It usually snow, ice, rain and wind creating havoc with flying but, as you can see the skies are clear and calm. Londoners are lolling in the parks with picnics, blossoms are exploding from the ground up....there are certainly worse places to be 'stuck!'
