Fading Colonial Architectural Grandeur in Myanmar

This gorgeous old house inYangon is due for demolition. It sits on a large plot very close to the centre of the city, so as in any growing city it was at risk.
There recently is a movement throughout the country to embrace and preserve as much of the colonial architecture as possible, recognizing the era now as a significant time in the history of Myranmar.

Sadly the Banyan trees had taken hold of the foundations!
