Russian Greens

Design Globalisation in the 1790's!  The Green dining room in Catherine's palace was designed for Catherine II by one of her favorite architects, Charles Cameron from Scotland. Looted and partially
distroyed by the Nazis, it is now restored. A pale green ground and pink highlight the white moulded
sculptural embellishments originally created by the famous Russian sculptor Ivan Martos. It is an extraordinary dining room.
