Victorian Empire Exhuberance in India

While Indian architects represent some of the best new design talents today, there is still something
about the old intricate detailed styles of the Victorian era found in each city and small town that inspires. Of course India for centuries has always had a great love of details so the European influences
of the Victorian era were embraced whole - heartedly and with an attitude in some cases that set out to top anything found anywhere else.

Indian Rainbows

Thailand is every shade of green, Italy is every shade of  terracotta and ochre, but India is the rainbow. Starting here with the obvious, women in saris in a little town in central India, practically the full spectrum of colours, in a short afternoon walk!

Easter in Italy

Somehow I always think of Easter as a truly Italian celebration.  Catholismn seems to celebrate the  concept of Christ rising from the dead in the most dramatic fashion in their architecture.
