Hello: Yes, somehow we feel that on balance black and white always has the edge over colour. Certainly it is more striking and works particularly well with certain subjects.
It could be, of course, that today we are over saturated with colour images and so the black and white become more arresting.

Love black and white, especially for architecture. Puts the emphasis purely on form. Hey it even makes these power lines look good!
