The Mekong in Laos

All our efforts to find a safe boat with life jackets well?......the boat owner did have a sweet smile! It was a mini adventure three hours up the Mekong to visit the cave of thousands of Buddhas. The Mekong river is very low at the moment but there are still rapids and whirlpools that we snaked our way through slowly and carefully. The cave again,.... well...interesting worth a visit once!
