Zen Perfection for Phuket?

I adore this design...although to make it work in Phuket you would have to build it somewhere deep in the forest and have a location that has a fabulous breeze through it so you didn't fry, it is really fabulous.

Some may find it too cold in it's minimalism but what a wonderful escape where you would not be distracted from the nature that surrounds. The calm .... you can feel. Absolute Zen perfection by Canadian architecture firm gh3. Photos via gh3.

With a few slight modifications, it would work beautifully in Phuket or anywhere in the tropics. Extend the roof so the overhangs are at least 2m and provide plenty of landscape planting to shade the glass walls from low angle solar radiation. The beauty of this design in the tropics is the space would cool down quickly as soon as the sun goes down.

I think you also could use the screen effect like the house I posted way back on Nov. 28 by WE architects. The problem with overhangs of 2 m's would be you loosing the sky I think....
