We walked and walked.... even the fit flops couldn't save blisters. We checked out Arab Street and Haji Street, Chinatown (our favorite), little India and of course Orchard Road.
We left it too late to get ticketsto hear world renowned Mr. Wole Soyinkay, Nobel prize winner for literature however we spotted him while lunching at the Fullerton Hotel
He graciously said hello to us after daughter Chrissy got up enough nerve to introduce herself. Googling him later made us very sad we had not spoken earlier and invited him to join us as he was all alone and on his first trip to Singapore. Certainly a missed opportunity, I do hope all who attended appreciated this discussion.
