Mixing Tiles and Styles

Now this is a challenge...wanting to abandon the polish concrete finish I have used successfully for the last ten years on flooring, shelving beds etc. Can I manage to blend new trends and old flavours
successfully into an original palette???
I want some morrocan flavour with the elegance of black and white. The choices are amazing of course only limited by budget!

Discovering the Blues of Paola Navone

Attracted first to her use of multiple subtle greys and whites then discovering the depth of her work and inspired by her more recent designs at Point Yamu by Como well, the pictures tell all.....Fearless Blues, Subtle Blues, Aqua Blues, Amazing Blues! To learn more of Paola Navone and her work there is a great blog post at Design 4 Dreaming.

Please note the first three pictures and the fifth are of Point Yamu . The 4 poster bed is her design for
Anthroplogie and the dark blues of the last livingroom and bedroom were designs for the Baxter Group.

Do you ever feel like this?

After recently discovering that many of the images I was filing for the house reno inspiration were by the very talented Paola Navone, I found we have some of this powerful designer's work right here on the island! The recently opened Point Yamu Resort by Como. Originally the building of this hotel started a few years back with Phillipe Starcke and the Yoo group doing the design. Here is a suite design with their concept.

Here is some of the completed design by Paola. Click on the link to view more of the hotel images
and completed design.
