Polish Pizza?
Some fabulous pictures from the 'old country' (Victoria B.C.). My BFF back at 'the ranch' in Canada (fondly referred to as the Polish Princess) is just completing a massive renovation of her home. I am swooning over this fabulous red....oh to be able to paint those Pizza Garden ovens like this! She used a wonderfully talented young and up coming cabinet maker Jason who obviously has a wonderful sense of balance and combined with Elka's talents well? what can I say...photos from Jason's portfolio do check out his other work if you have a moment.

All over the map this week....
Monday morning trying to sort things in a logical fashion just 7 days till we are off to France...
Thinking of barges again as it looks as if there will only be one house left to sell at The Oasis.....
Will the Pizza Garden opening feel like this?
How much food stocking up needs to be done for all the fur and fins?

Defining Concrete Jungle
This house looks like pretty much the clear definition of concretejungle...discovered as usual on archdaily...great pops of colour accent each area of the home absolutely perfectly!
Wood work to die for balances all concrete and links interior to exterior. Buried in the jungles of Costa Rica it would suit just about any tropical locale. SPG architects - all pictures Charles Lindsay

Dropped off...
Look what was dropped off in front of our house this week!
Then surfing the net I discovered the work of neozoon....What to do with those old fur coats never needed again in the tropics! As a designer I tend to lean to fur bed throws and cushions...not very practical here either.... so when I saw this on the net I was amused.
Street artists are becoming more and more inventive...move over Banksy! Cutting granny's old moth eaten fur into wild animal silhouettes this group of female artists must not only be making people smile but, at the same time creating thought provoking installations. Recently the women artists of neozoon have moved from the silhouette to moulding the furs into three dimensional shapes placing them in trees, looking rather surreal in the urban environment.
